Numerous agencies, organizations, and corporate enterprises are involved in supporting mass gatherings and special events. Through networking, members of various clinical teams have received in kind support of equipment and supplies for provision of care of participants at one or more mass gatherings.
Many events run on limited budgets, particularly large charity-based events. Without the donation of equipment and/or supplies from corporate supporters, the standard of care by many medical teams would be less. This support is acknowledged on the Mass Gathering Medicine Interest Group’s (MGMIG) web site under the category of supporters.
NOTE: No direct funding has been offered or received from any corporate entity to fund research, education, or public advocacy initiatives. Funding received for any project undertaken by the MGMIG is declared in all presentations and/or publications in all forums.
